Auroral zone X-ray measurements with balloon-borne instruments as a part of the GEOS project
Abstract
The importance of the auroral-zone X-ray measurements is discussed. Emphasis is given to special investigations using simultaneous X-ray measurements and particle and field data from a geostationary satellite. Problems involved in balloon programs during the GEOS mission are also discussed.
