Comparison of the holographic characteristics of high-resolution photographic plates
Abstract
A number of high-resolution photographic materials are compared with respect to such holographic parameters as sensitivity, diffraction efficiency of amplitude and phase holograms, and laser light scattering by holograms. The superiority of 8E75 photographic plates with respect to these parameters over the other plates is demonstrated. The influence of the absorption coefficient and the degree of scattering of laser light by the photosensitive layer on the recording of thick holograms is studied, showing that LOI-2 plates are best suited for recording such holograms.
