Part 2: Parameters of controlling fields. Chapter 4: Statement of problems for computing controlling fields
Abstract
The approximate mathematical techniques used to compute the physical fields which are received by the radio electronic systems and from which information about the environment is obtained were described. The difficulties of performing these calculations exactly due to the complexity of the actual physical world is emphasized, followed by the necessity to use simplified models. Such models are described for the sea surface, the littoral zone, the physical fields of interest: acoustic, electromagnetic, temperature, hydrodynamic. The basic relevant equations and their solutions are reviewed.
