The injector effect of free jets at high Mach number
Abstract
The injector effect, i.e. the entrainment of air from the vicinity of free jets at high Mach numbers, is determined by integration of the velocity profiles at several distances from the nozzle exit. The influence of the Mach number, the nozzle shape, and the initial turbulence is discussed.
