Beobachtungen zur Verbesserung der stellaren Kinematik
Abstract
The accuracy of available data regarding stellar motions is investigated, taking into account the quality of the base provided by these data for studies of stellar kinematics. It is concluded that a number of errors which reduce the accuracy of the recorded observations are responsible for certain limitations concerning a use of the data in kinematic studies. The employment of correctional terms in the use of existing data is recommended and observational programs are proposed to obtain new data concerning the distance and the motion of stars.
