Automated calibration of directional-coupler-bolometer-mount assemblies
Abstract
The present work briefly sets forth some basic approaches to automating the calibration of directional-coupler-bolometer-mount (DCBM) assemblies, which call for comparisons of indicated sidearm power with the net or incident power into three or more suitably chosen main arm terminations. The determination of load of reflection is also required. These measurements provide the basis for determining either the ratio between net power delivered to a nonreflecting load at the coupler output port to the indicated sidearm power or a measurand defined as the ratio of the available power at the output port to indicated sidearm power.
