A & AEE system for the recording, presentation, reduction of flight data
Abstract
The A & AEE airborne data acquisition module (ADAM) is described. Mechanical and electrical design criteria, laboratory and flight tests, operational experience, further development, digital tape transport, environmental testing, and the ground station are discussed. Emphasis in design was placed on preserving present installations while achieving a change of instrumentation role, system accuracy, low skilled manpower demands, fast data display, increased channel capacity, and individual programming of parameter sampling rates for each trial sortie.
