Suboptimum algorithms of filtration in target position correction systems
Abstract
A complex system for determining the location of a target, including a ship coordinate computer, based on a relative log, hyperbolic radionavigation system and processing system, representing a Kalman filter, was examined. The feasibility in such a system of replacing the Kalman filter with some suboptimum filter which provides nearly optimum precision characteristics and makes it possible to reduce the volume of computations during the realization of the optimum filter by computer, is demonstrated.
