A survey of past, present and possible future systems for the transmission of signals from the EMC viewpoint
Abstract
Analog and digital signal transmission is reviewed from the early days of the telegraph to the present day and the application of EMC design to signal transmission systems is considered. The specific example of signal transmission in an avionics system (e.g., fly by wire) is examined, with discussions of the transmission system, a high bit rate computer interface system (with the possible use of fiber-optical communication), and data acquisition transmission.
