A class of approximate solutions of relaxation equations for spatially inhomogeneous gases
Abstract
A method is proposed for the solution of relaxation equations for nonequilibrium mixtures of spatially inhomogeneous reactant gases. Two cases are considered: unsteady flow of a nonequilibrium inviscid gas and unsteady flow of a nonequilibrium viscous gas in a laminar boundary layer in the presence of high Re numbers. The method is based on a series expansion in terms of a small parameter much less than unity.
