The measurement of the vibrations of rotor blades in turbomachines - An inductive measurement procedure
Abstract
The described inductive measurement procedure can be used to verify the safety of rotor operation. The frequency of blade vibration modulates a voltage. The voltage is obtained with the aid of a magnet which is embedded in a blade. Questions regarding the induction of the signal voltage are discussed along with the design of the coil in which the voltage is induced by the rotating magnet. Attention is also given to details concerning the frequency modulation, the effect of disturbing factors, the processing of the obtained signal, and the measured parameters.
