He-Ne ring laser with Ne absorption cell
Abstract
The paper deals with the successful observation of the Ne absorption resonance in the He-Ne ring laser (3.39-micron wavelength). This resonance width is less than natural line width, and contrast is up to 20%. The ring gas laser absorption resonances are suggested for use in spectroscopy of superhigh resolution.
