The preliminary research of a small-scale MOS series memory
Abstract
A small-scale series memory, incorporating a MOS dynamic shift register integrated circuit and serving as the memory in the line printer of DJS-11 (word length 7 bit, 160 words with read time of 3 microsec and write time of 63 microsec), is described. The input, output converting circuit and clock pulse circuit are discussed, and test results are presented. Two logical design schemes are given. The model test results and the results of preliminary trials with the second DJS-11 have shown that this MOS series memory is workable.
