Differential precipitation of the low energetic protons and electrons in Brazilian anomaly
Abstract
The paper presents some gyroplasma probe measurements taken aboard the TAIYO satellite. This probe consists of a sphere whose capacitance is measured by a radio frequency impedance measuring instrument as the probe is immersed in a plasma. The data give examples of differential precipitation, where the total proton flux exceeds the electron flux, or vice versa. A plot of all the observed differential precipitations shows that they all take place in regions of particle flux enhancement due to the Brazilian anomaly of the magnetic field.
