NO2 abundance in the Martian atmosphere
Abstract
Based on analysis of spectrograms of Mars obtained at the Coude focus of a two-meter reflector, it is concluded that there are no noticeable traces of NO2 in the Martian atmosphere. An upper limit of 0.02 mm-atm for the NO2 concentration is estimated from a comparison with lunar spectrograms in four spectral regions.
