The problem of heating thin bodies with a given accuracy
Abstract
Selection of a steady state temperature schedule is examined in the zones of a straight through multiple zone furnace when heating products with varying thicknesses with a given accuracy. A preset accuracy of heating thin bodies with a schedule t sub furnace = const in each zone of the straight through furnace is ensured in the presence of two technological zones (two zone heating schedule). For optimizing the other parameters when ensuring a given accuracy of heating (e.g. from the criterion of minimum fuel consumption), it is necessary to have not less than three technological zones (three zone heating schedule), or to vary the heating time with a two zone schedule.
