Studies of calorimeter absorbers for CW and pulsed CO2 lasers
Abstract
Solid and liquid absorbers, used in calorimeters to measure the power and energy of CW and pulsed CO2 lasers, were studied from 9.24 to 10.76 mu m (CW) and near 10.588 mu m (pulsed). The principal materials used were magnesium oxide, lithium fluoride, polystyrene, polytetrafluorethylene, carbon tetrachloride, and kerosene.
