RF-analyses
Abstract
The RF characteristics of a deployable front-fed antenna are dealt with to study the influence of mechanical errors. The RF properties under consideration are directivity, depointing of the main beam, half-power beam width, first sidelobe parameters, and circularity. These properties are computed for the undistorted as well as for the distorted antenna. For the undistorted antenna, different positions of the feeder were studied. The influence of different types of distortions on the RF characteristics for the distorted antenna were considered.
