Der Lichtwechsel des Kleinplaneten 433 Eros während der Opposition 1975.
Abstract
On January 13, 1975 the minor planet Eros was in opposition with the sun. The closest approach of Eros to Earth with a distance of 0.151 AU was reached on January 23, 1975. The event presented, therefore, the most favorable opposition of the century. Characteristic for the asteroid is its light variation which is currently interpreted as a rotational effect. Details regarding the observation of Eros during the opposition are discussed along with questions of data evaluation.
