On the laminar and turbulent flow between non-parallel plane walls
Abstract
The two-dimensional steady flow in thin layers between non-parallel plane walls was studied by using Hamel's hypothesis, for both laminar and turbulent regimes. The velocity profiles and the stresses at the wall were obtained and the influence of the inertia forces on them was shown. These results were used to obtain the simple pressure differential equations depending on the mean velocity and of course on the slope of the walls.
