A method for optimizing radio electronic networks
Abstract
An efficient method for finding the minimum of a target function in the presence of inequality constraints is proposed which constitutes a modification of the gradient projection method, designed for search along the boundary of the region of working capacity (Q), that is, the set of points satisfying the constraints. Search direction is chosen on the basis of where the current search point is located: outside the region Q, inside Q, or on the boundary. An example of the optimization of an MOS integrated circuit by this method is given.
