Resonance properties of periodic grids composed of elements of complex profile
Abstract
The problem of diffraction of electromagnetic waves at 2pi-periodic grids composed of ideally conducting T-element with an infinitely thin horizontal member (of T) is analyzed. The analytical solution is verified experimentally for E- and H-polarized waves. The resonances detected in the dispersion relations of the transmission coefficient are attributed to interference phenomena and to the reflection properties of band grids.
