The calculation of the static characteristic of a new class of linear velocity sensors with a sine signal
Abstract
The linear velocity sensor studied here consists of a screw rotor with excitation and measurement coils which are surrounded by a hollow conducting screen which is encircled by a moving ferromagnetic ring. The paper deals with the determination of the degree of nonlinearity of the static characteristic, and the degree of inconstancy of sensitivity depending on the position of the ferromagnetic ring and on the dimensional relations of the magnetic circuit.
