On the hydrodynamics of fluids with a deformable microstructure
Abstract
A model proposed by Suiazov (1973) is used to study the inertialess shear flow of an incompressible fluid composed of deformable particles. Equations of motion are presented for studying the propagation of small wavelike disturbances in the suspension, and for the three dimensional deformable flow past a sphere. The present problem is related to that concerning the effect of non-Newtonian polymeric additives in a turbulent flow.
