Acoustovibrational method of flaw detection for structural tests
Abstract
The influence of the crack length on the natural vibration frequencies of aluminum-alloy and textolite plates was studied analytically and experimentally. It is shown that the acoustovibrational method makes it possible to detect the onset of fatigue cracks in bulky components, and that the method is sensitive even to microscopic cracks.
