Extremal states of matter in astrophysics. Part II. Superfluidity and superconductivity: astrophysical aspects.
Abstract
The equations of state of matter at high temperatures and pressures are reviewed on the basis of Brush's (1967) data. The possibility of detecting extremal states of matter in natural environments is examined, along with the possible appearance of superfluid and superconducting states of matter in such systems as white dwarfs and neutron stars.
