Study of charge transport in a MOS line
Abstract
The principles of operation of a MOS line are considered, taking into account the determination of the surface potential, the derivation of the charge transport equation and its numerical solution, approaches for the reduction of transmission time, and charge losses. An equivalent circuit of a MOS line is presented and the effect of the various parameters on the charge transport is investigated. A description is given of experimental investigations which have been conducted to test the validity of the reported calculations. Attention is given to the employment of a MOS line for the transmission of digital signals in computer storage applications.
