Magnetodiodes: New semiconductor devices with high sensitivity to a magnetic field
Abstract
The book describes the physical principles of the galvanomagnetic phenomenon known as the 'magnetodiode' effect, and sets forth the principles of operation of semiconductor devices based on this effect. Properties of magnetodiodes, magnetotriodes, and more complex devices based on the effect and made of germanium, silicon, and other semiconductor materials, are studied. Applications of these devices as contactless switches, amplifiers, and magnetic field sensors are described.
