The analysis of data from rotation modulation collimators.
Abstract
An algorithm was derived for fast cross-correlation analysis of data obtained by rotation collimators. Results are presented from two X-ray rotation collimator telescopes launched on spin-stabilized sounding rockets to measure the position and intensity of X-ray sources emitting photons in the range 2-10 keV. Corrections were derived for the effects of coning motion and random motion of the spin axis about the center of the polar coordinate system.
