On finite amplitudes of periodic disturbances of the boundary layer along a flat plate
Abstract
The stability of the boundary layer along a flat plate is investigated by means of a weakly non-linear theory. A reformulation of the method of Landau constants is used to calculate finite amplitudes of periodic disturbances. The neutral surface for Tollmien-Schlichting waves is discussed on the basis of numerical results.
