Determination and classification of solutions of the geometric one-dimensional heat conduction equation using the rate of propagation of isothermal surfaces
Abstract
A new concept of the rate of propagation of the isothermal surfaces in a thermal field is introduced. A unified method utilizing the rate of propagation of the isothermal surfaces for solving the geometric one-dimensional heat conduction equation is developed. All the particular solutions obtained by the new method can be physically classified by the rate of propagation of the isothermal surfaces.
