Determination and classification of solutions of the geometric onedimensional heat conduction equation using the rate of propagation of isothermal surfaces
Abstract
A new concept of the rate of propagation of the isothermal surfaces in a thermal field is introduced. A unified method utilizing the rate of propagation of the isothermal surfaces for solving the geometric onedimensional heat conduction equation is developed. All the particular solutions obtained by the new method can be physically classified by the rate of propagation of the isothermal surfaces.
