A Double Mach-Zehnder Heterodyne Intensity Interferometer
Abstract
An optical heterodyne intensity interferometer using a double Mach-Zehnder system is fabricated for measuring both the absolute value and the phase of the coherence function of light not only from incoherent sources but also from coherent sources. The theory and its experimental verifications are presented and the latter are compared with the results obtained from other interferometric systems.
