Heat transfer in chemically reacting gases flowing in pipes
Abstract
The heat transfer problem of chemically reacting gases has been solved by numerical method. It has been shown that the nonlinear, coupled differential equations of such problems can be solved by this method with no instability problem. The results of calculation compare favorably with the meager experimental data available. The laminar as well as turbulent flow problems can be solved by the method. The heat transfer with equilibrium reaction has maximum value and decreases with the increased reaction order.
