Modeling of clutter for coherent pulsed radar
Abstract
This article is concerned with the video signal obtained when a coherent pulsed radar scans through moving scintillating scatterers (clutter). In particular, a formula is obtained for the autocorrelation function of the clutter, assuming Gaussian distributions of doppler and scintillation for the scatterers. Results are included on a computer model developed to simulate clutter with predefined characteristics.
