Oscillators with a large tuning range of the Wien-bridge oscillator type
Abstract
A description is given of a certain class of oscillators, which are called generalized Wien-bridge oscillators (GWO). The design and the principle of operation for a GWO are discussed along with questions regarding the uniqueness of the oscillation frequency. Attention is given to phase characteristics, problems concerning the harmonics, and the input and output impedance of the feedback circuit. Applications of the GWO are also considered.
