Shear stress in the entrance region of a ring slot flow
Abstract
Flow of an ideal, compressible fluid through a ring slot is analyzed for the case when the inner cylinder is moving. It is assumed that the pressure in a tube cross section is constant and that the flow rate is constant throughout the tube. The introduction of dimensionless coordinates and variables leads to a system of equations which were solved by a difference procedure.
