High-intensity lasers
Abstract
The most recent high-intensity lasing systems are described. Neodymium:glass, organic dyes, quasi-molecular noble gases, carbon dioxide, and chemical lasing materials such as iodine and hydrogen fluoride are the chief substances discussed. In addition, a brief review of basic laser principles, historical development, and future prospects is given.
