Laser Doppler anemometer measurements in a low-velocity wind tunnel on a fin-plate model
Abstract
Measurements with a laser Doppler anemometer were performed in a low-velocity wind tunnel on a model of a fin-plate. Interest was concentrated on measurements of velocity in the direction of main flow; both mean velocities and rms-values were measured. A few measurements of vertical components were made in order to enable evaluation of the magnitude of this component. For the purpose of verifying the measurements, a few of them were repeated both with and without the addition of seeding. Comparative hot-wire measurements were made in three cross sections of the flow.
