On the apparent track of artificial satellite and the tracking frames of satellite-camera
Abstract
The paper discusses the problem of using the arcs of great and small circle of celestial sphere to approximate the artificial satellite's apparent tracks and compares the structural features of the triaxial and quadraxial tracking frames of modern satellite-camera. A method is proposed for determining quantitatively the parameters of the tracking frames, and criterions are suggested for a reasonable choice of the tracking-frame in its structural designs. The effect of the apparent angular accelerations of artificial satellites on constant-rate photographic tracking is evaluated.
