Characteristics of a homogeneous wall, equivalent to a thermal contact
Abstract
An equivalent model of a thermal contact, consisting of a wall of uniform thickness, of uniform thermal resistance, and of uniform specific heat is presented. The conductivity and specific heat of the wall are determined, in the case of solid-solid contacts. Several numerical applications are presented, including steel contacts, and those of stone construction materials.
