Bulgarian space probe instrument P2 aboard the Intercosmos 12 satellite
Abstract
The paper gives a general description of the scientific instrument aboard Intercosmos 12 for measuring density and temperature distributions of charged particles in the near-earth space. The sensitive elements of the device consist of three-electrode spherical charged-particle traps for measuring ion concentrations and temperatures and a cylindrical Langmuir probe for measuring electron concentrations and temperatures.
