Random gravitational encounters and the evolution of spherical systems. VII. Systems with several mass groups.
Abstract
The computing procedures used in the investigation are discussed along with the numerical parameters assumed for the various models. A description of the results of the investigation is presented, taking into account aspects of mass stratification, the rate of stellar escape, and the collapse of the core. The obtained results are utilized in an evaluation of the conditions in the case of actual clusters.
