Some kinematic characteristics of fragmented meteoric bodies
Abstract
The distribution of detection heights, velocities, and orbital elements of fragmented and ordinary meteoric bodies are compared using Kolmogorov's criterion. It is shown that the detection heights of both types coincide, but the orbits of fragmented meteoric bodies have larger dimensions, eccentricities, and aphelion distances than ordinary bodies.
