Mass transfer effectiveness on three-dimensional laminar compressible boundary layer flows
Abstract
The effects of mass transfer on laminar boundary-layer flow with or without slip on an axisymmetric surface of variable cross section in the case of compressible swirling flow are investigated together with the same effects on the laminar compressible boundary-layer flow over a yawed infinite wing in the case of hypersonic flow. The similarity equations governing these two flows are solved by a quasi-linearization technique. Numerical values of the skin-friction and heat-transfer parameters for the axisymmetric surface and yawed infinite wing are tabulated for different values of the mass-transfer and slip parameters.
