Radio observations at 5 GHz of southern planetary nebulae.
Abstract
Summary. High-sensitivity radio observations for 165 planetary nebulae are presented and compared with the H intensities to obtain extinction coefficients. A radio distance scale is derived and the mean optical absorption within the galactic disk is estimated to be 1.3+0.8 mag kpc -1 Comparison is made with the stellar absorption in the direction of these nebulae. Key words: planetary nebulae radio distance extinction
