Development of a scheme for calculating disturbances acting on the satellite
Abstract
The nature of external perturbing moments (induced by air resistance; interaction between ferromagnetic elements of the satellite and the geomagnetic field; and solar radiation pressure) acting on an attitude stabilized satellite is analyzed. The analysis of the aerodynamic perturbing moment is carried out with allowance for the entrainment of the upper atmosphere by the rotating earth and for the dependence of atmospheric density on height and time of day. The moments induced by light pressure are studied with allowance for the motion of the earth about the sun and the precession of the orbit. It is shown that all external moments of low-altitude orbits may be expressed in Fourier series of harmonics that are multiples of the argument of latitude.
