Application of acoustic surface wave to power electronics
Abstract
An experimental surface acoustic wave device using transducers for firing high-voltage thyristors cascaded in series is developed. Details on the gate current rise time, transmission capability and electrical insulation and cooling together with the experimental setup and results are given.
