Three-dimensional separation
Abstract
Fundamental difference between 2- and 3-dimensional separation is discussed. Maskell's scheme and its domain of validity, in particular with respect to the envelope concept is examined. The pressure-induced type of separation in 3 dimensions and its difference with the envelope concept are presented.
