CO2 laser frequency modulation via discharge current control
Abstract
An experimental demonstration of promising technique of frequency modulation in CO2 lasers, discharge current control, is described. The experimental setup required the use of a heterodyne detection system for measurement of frequency deviation. The resulting data and operating parameters indicate that this is a promising technique for CO2 laser modulation up to a frequency of approximately 2 kHz.
