Design parameters affecting the accuracy of isothermal thermocouples
Abstract
This paper presents an analytical study of the isothermal thermocouple commonly used on reentry vehicles to obtain the flight test data necessary to determine the thermodynamic performance of the heatshield. The object of this study is to investigate the thermocouple assembly's design parameters which contribute to the instrument's accuracy.
